Warm Weather Shipping

JM Posner is committed to ensuring the products you receive are the highest quality, in order to protect the product during warm weather we sometimes the decision to hold chocolate lines back from dispatch. Although our warehouse maintains ambient temperatures, the vehicles we use for delivery are not refrigerated and can reach high temperatures. We will reach out to you individually by e-mail to let you know if items have been held back, if you accept liability that the product many melt,  we are happy to ship your items at your request. If we do not hear from you your order will be held until the weather cools. As we are unable to monitor temperature throughout the whole of the UK, you may be confident temperatures in your area will not affect the quality of your chocolate, but please bear in mind the chocolate will be in transit during the warmest parts of the day on its journey.
 
If melting does occur, the chocolate can be easily and safely re-melted and used as intended. However, while we make every effort to ensure chocolate does not melt, please understand that we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or issue refunds solely based on chocolate melting during transit.
 
Prices

All shipping prices are detailed once items have been added to the basket, these start from £7.95. The price will be dependant on the weight of the order and geographical location.

Delivery Times

Normal delivery days are Monday – Friday. The delivery company can deliver any time between 8-5pm unfortunately we are unable to book specific times, you should be available at your delivery address during this time frame on the day of your delivery. If delivery is unsuccessful and gets returned to JM Posner you will need to repay the original shipping fee to get the item dispatched again, you usually get 2 attempts on courier deliveries, large deliveries you only get 1 attempt before additional fees are incurred.

Courier Deliveries (Monday to Friday)

We use a 1 -2 Working Day Delivery service on orders 100kg or under. These should be delivered within 1-2 working days from order being placed in the UK Mainland (England, Wales and Scottish Lowlands) other regions may take longer. Saturday option available at the checkout, however this is not possible to all areas of the UK, if we are unable to offer this service, we will contact you within 1 working day of the order being placed and discuss your options. Saturday deliveries must be placed before 2pm Friday.

If you are unable to place your order because the shipping option for your area is not available please contact our Customer Services Team to get a quote for shipping please e-mail your address and order details, to info@jmposner.com and we will be able to provide this.

Most packages sent by JM Posner will be too large to fit through a letterbox. Somebody will therefore need to be present at the delivery address to take delivery of the order. If delivery is attempted by our delivery partner and nobody is able to take the delivery, a second attempt at delivery will be made and a card left if necessary. If the package is not redirected or collected within the allotted time the package will eventually be returned to our warehouse. In this case you will need to repay the original shipping fee to get the item dispatched again.

Large Deliveries (Monday to Friday)

Large orders will be delivered within 3 days on all orders over 100 KG for order being placed in the UK Mainland (England, Wales and Scottish Lowlands). Pallet deliveries are curb side so the driver will leave the product outside your premises, it is your responsibility to move/unload the pallet. You will receive a notification on the days of shipping, once shipped your order will be with you usually on the next day for UK Mainland courier permitting.

Please check your delivery for damage, any damage MUST be reported to the driver and noted on the POD for us to claim with the delivery company.

We reserve the right to amend the delivery method to better suit the order, this will take into account factors other than weight, for example number of boxes, delivery address/postcode, fragility of stock.

Delivery notifications and special instructions

We give your e-mail addresses and contact numbers given at the checkout to the delivery company. We forward on any delivery instructions to the courier however we cannot guarantee they can be met, for example the delivery companies will be unable to plan delivery routes around your opening hours. You will receive text or e-mail updates from the courier on your delivery, please look out for these. If you have special instructions on a parcel delivery you will need to inform the courier directly through their APC Choice website, a link to this will be in the e-mail send to you, this will include safe location options, any safe locations chosen are at you own risk. You will also receive a dispatch notification once dispatched from our warehouse, in most cases your delivery will come next day depending on your location.

Bank Holidays

Please note our offices and warehouses are closed on Bank Holidays, therefore, due to the increased workload on the next working day some orders may be dispatched later than usual. We work as hard as we can to mitigate this, we process orders on first in first out, therefore this should only effect a small number of orders placed on the Bank Holiday itself.
