Spooky and Sweet Halloween Treats

The ‘BER months have arrived, and already we are feeling the cooler weather approaching. As we contemplate the shorter days and longer nights, it is time to start thinking about seasonal menus and offerings.   

To start the fourth quarter, here are some Halloween dessert recipes. These ideas will bring something bewitching to your customers.   

Chocolate Frog Pots

Chocolate Frog Pots  

A delectable treat for all tricksters, old or young. These chocolate frog pots combine simple peanut butter mousse with the rich flavour of chocolate, with crunchy Kadaif. All topped with a gruesome green frog. Creating the perfect Halloween dessert.  

Ingredients:  

Chocolate Frog Mould

50gr Roasted Kadaif 

250ml Double Cream  

50gr Icing Sugar  

2 tablespoons Reese's Pourable Peanut Butter Sauce 

Milk Chocolate Spread

Pistachio Compound

Method:   

  1. Melt pistachio compound in a glass bowl over a pan of hot water, ensuring the water does not touch the bowl. Stir continuously to achieve an even melt.  
  2. Spoon the melted chocolate into the frog moulds, scraping the tops with the edge of a pallet life to create a smooth, even finish.  
  3. Leave the chocolate to set for several hours or overnight before removing from the moulds.  
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together your double cream, Icing Sugar, and Peanut Butter Sauce to make a quick and easy mousse.  
  5. Combine your Kadaif and milk chocolate vela to create a crispy chocolate filling.  
  6. Layer the caramel mouse in a shallow dish and top with the crispy chocolate filling. Finally, place your chocolate frog on top for a delicious dessert customers will be hopping mad over.  

Mummy Pancake Bites

This easy Halloween recipe creates a small snack or a wicked dessert. Soft fluffy pancakes with a white chocolate bandage and mini sugar-coated cocoa button eyes. You will struggle to stop them walking away.  Perfect for anyone who comes trick or treating.  

Ingredients: 

Dutch Pancakes (make your own with our mini-pancake maker or use our mini pancake plates on your multi waffle)  

Belgian Style Waffle Mix

Belgian White Chocolate

Mini Sugar-Coated Cocoa Buttons  

Method:  

  1. Melt your white chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water, careful not to let the water touch the bowl. Once melted, pour the chocolate into a piping bag with a small nozzle for accuracy.  
  2. Prepare your mini pancakes and keep them warm until ready to serve.  
  3. Place your mini pancakes on a prepared plate and carefully pipe chocolate bandages  
  4. Use the mini sugar-coated cocoa buttons to create eyes.  

Cookie Vampire Bites

These cookies certainly have a bite to them. Combining devily delicious chocolate cookies, with mini marshmallows and rich creamy Sacher means customers will soon snap these up.   

Ingredients:  

Chocolate Cookie Dough

Sacher White Coating

Mini marshmallows

Strawberry Syrup

Method:  

  1. Slice your cookie dough into thick rounds and press out into a large circle. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 8 minutes.  
  2. Remove them from the oven and allow the cookies to cool. Once cooled, slice in half.  
  3. Soften your Sacher and spread thickly on one side of the cookie, placing the other half on top so the cut edges line up. Press down on the cut edge to create a wedge shape.  
  4. Take two mini marshmallows and cut the sides diagonally to create a triangle. Dipping the pointy edge in to the strawberry syrup to create a blood effect.  
  5. Place the marshmallows in the open edge of the cookie sandwich, a small distance apart, creating your vampire's teeth.

With the bubble tea craze bewitching customers everywhere, adding a seasonal twist is more important than ever. Our witch’s potion has a vibrant purple colour and bubbletastic flavour, bringing your customers the perfect Halloween drink.   

Ingredients: 

Blue Curaçao 

Bubble Tea Strawberry Syrup 

Blueberry Popping Boba

Ice  

Jasmine Green Tea Leaves

Method:  

  1. Using boiling water, make your green tea as normal, and leave to one side to cool.  
  2. Half fill each cup with green tea and add 30ml of strawberry syrup and 2 tablespoons of blue Curaçao.  
  3. Add ¼ cup of blueberry boba and ice before topping up the cups with milk to create a mystical potion effect.
